NFER chooses server room monitoring - Network Accessories

NFER chooses server room monitoring - Network AccessoriesUPS Systems has been selected as the company that will provide server room monitoring tools to the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER).

The firm's product Remo will be used to protect the organisation's uninterrupted power supply and temperature control equipment.

Strong tools are particularly important to the NFER as it is responsible for providing research, assessment and information services for education, training and children's services.

Tom Sperrey, UPS Systems' managing director, explained why the company's server room monitoring solution is the right one for the NFER.

He said: "Remo removes the burden from our clients of the need to continuously monitor equipment and, as in this case, gives them early warning to potential hazards affecting their equipment to protect mission-critical systems."

As well as preventing overheating, server room monitoring tools can help businesses and organisations go green.

Another way in which they could do this would be to use the new TC2205F switches from TrendChip Technologies, which cut energy consumption by detecting cable length and unused ports.
