Fluke Networks has unveiled a new handheld Wi-Fi tester that will solve some of the frustrations around wireless networking.
The AirCheck Wi-Fi tester provides fast and effective network visibility through an intuitive interface, allowing users to easily identify coverage and connectivity problems.
It can boot up in less than three seconds and has a battery life of five hours and testing sessions can be downloaded to a PC through a USB cable.
Arif Kareem, president of Fluke Networks, believes many companies rely on Wi-Fi yet do not have the capabilities or network tools to ensure its reliability.
He added: "AirCheck addresses the requirement to arm frontline IT personnel with an affordable, easy-to-use, portable tool that provides comprehensive WLAN visibility across all Wi-Fi standards."
Fluke Networks recently announced that its products would be used by Cisco in order to provide a better customer service.
The company's unified system, Visual Performance Manager 6.1, will allow Cisco clients to deploy, manage, solve and optimise the delivery of enterprise applications within their networks.
