Pulse has introduced a compact JKM platform that can be used for connecting a transceiver to an ethernet cable.
The 1ten-pin 1x1 gigabit RJ45 has a compact footprint that allows for a 38 per cent reduction of circuit board space usage when compared to existing platforms on the market.
Tested to comply with IEEE specifications, the JKM gigabit ethernet connector platform is backward-compatible to 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps data throughputs, while also being configurable to the latest core topologies.
This means optimal performance should be expected with various voltage/current mode transceivers that are in use.
Rowan Noble, a Pulse field application engineer, said: "This new JKM platform is a great addition to the LAN product families here at Pulse
"We are excited to offer it to our customers needing compact solutions for their projects."
Owned by Technitrol, Pulse is one of the world's major firms involved in electronic component and subassembly design and manufacturing.
