JDSU has announced a new 10GbE testing tool that will help with the next generation of data centre and fibre technology.
The firm's Xgig High Density 10GbE Load Tester Solution packs 32 ports in a single 3U chassis, offering four times the density of previous load testers.
Furthermore, it has automated testing and benchmarking according to industry standards, with support for layer two and three testing of 10GbE converged ethernet networks.
Dave Buse, general manager in JDSU's Storage Network Test business unit, said: "JDSU continues to lead the 10GbE market by providing the most comprehensive suite of test and analysis tools available for ethernet.
"By offering advanced products with innovations such as the industry's highest port density, JDSU simplifies design and test of network equipment and helps manufacturers claim critical early market share of emerging converged ethernet network applications."
Network tools are vital for server rooms and data centres to make sure that systems are optimised and not wasting energy.
