Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) has unveiled its latest data centre that promises to keep carbon emissions and energy costs low.
The new 4,500 sq ft facility has cost the company £2million and is located in Telford.
It was designed and built by IBM, which used its Data Centre Performance Management solutions to improve its green qualities.
Lynn Blodgett, chief executive of ACS said: "This new data facility's innovative design makes good environmental sense as well as sound commercial sense.
"By making environmentally conscious decisions, we can make informed business decisions to ensure our clients are more competitive."
ACS, a subsidiary of Xerox, supports over 600 clients in the public and private sectors and has additional data centres located in London, Bristol and Altrincham.
In other networking inustry news, the company was recently awarded a contract to process child support payments in Ohio.
