Camera control systems manufacturer Vaddio has introduced a new high-definition extender kit for the transmission of video data.
The WallView Por allows users to extend video and power transmission up to 500 feet from the camera, allowing companies to locate their video codecs a substantial distance from recording equipment.
According to the firm, the WallView Pro EagleEye 1080 HD system includes the company's EZCamera Interface Module and Quick-Connect Pro technology.
Vaddio claims the system can be used to transmit high-quality video data along with standard Cat5 cables and signal strength can be adjusted depending on how far it has to travel.
The four-position distance adjustment for Cat5 cables supported by the system has a Y-gain for cable length compensation, while the system is suitable for racking in server cabinets and server racks.
Cat5 leads offer transfer rates of up to 100Mbps while Cat5e cables can be used for applications that require data transfer rates of up to 1Gbps.
