RFI gets software orders from Dial-a-Cab


RFI gets software orders from Dial-a-CabDial-a-Cab has ordered an estimated $500,000 worth of software from RF Industries' RadioMobile division, according to reports.

The deal forms part of RF Industries' work to upgrade the company's 15-year-old installation.

It handles dispatch and location management for some 3,000 cabs to a brand new, modern wireless data system.

Jim Moore, general manager at RadioMobile, said: "Our ability to design and install new software and wireless systems which are, at the same time, capable of mimicking existing technology, enables RadioMobile to provide advanced capabilities without interrupting Dial-a-Cab's service."

RFI's Bioconnect division has also seen new orders of around $280,000. The contractis for a "complex 24-lead medical connector".

Following a visit to Bioconnect from the client, the company upped their order by 50 per cent.

George Marks, general manager of Bioconnect, said: "Our backlog of $800,000 is rapidly approaching Bioconnect's total sales for all of fiscal 2007."
