Netgear has announced its ReadyNAS Duo network and storage solution has been praised by Personal Computer World.
The device, which is available in an empty chassis or preloaded with drive capacities of 500 GB or 1 TB, offers users the chance to share files across a LAN or WAN network, explains the manufacturer.
Independent computer advice publication Personal Computer World has awarded the ReadyNAS Duo its Best Buy and Editor's Choice Awards, together with a review giving it the maximum five stars.
Mark Power, managing director of Netgear, said that households with a number of computers need all files and data to be "readily accessibly by each user".
He added: "Without the right solution, storing and locating it all can become tiresome and extremely time-consuming.
"These awards highlight Netgear's commitment to helping improve the wireless and storage experiences of the home user, and underline the performance and feature-rich product line which Netgear endeavours to bring to its customers."
Netgear recently revealed that the governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel both checked out the firm's new products at the CeBit exhibition.
