Demand for cloud systems software management 'will ramp up' - Network Kits Businesses that use network kits may be adding to the number of companies turning to cloud systems software management.

This is the view of Mary Johnston Turner, research director at Enterprise System Management Software, who was responding to research revealed by the International Data Corporation.

The report predicted spending on such technology will see the market grow to $2.5 billion (£1.57 billion) by 2015.

Ms Johnston Turner commented: "Demand for cloud systems management software will ramp up as cloud adoption hits a tipping point.

"As customers begin to recognise the economic and performance benefits of cloud technologies, there will be a significant shift from targeted, pilot implementations to broader production uses," she explained.

"As cloud adoption reaches a tipping point and becomes mainstream, we expect this market to experience a robust 45.5 per cent compound annual growth rate between 2010 and 2015."

The IDC research also forecast that emerging markets and Asia/Pacific nations will increasingly turn to cloud technology.
