Cisco is to partner with the Haier Group to create develop home networking systems, it has been announced.
The IT company announced its partnership with the Chinese appliance maker earlier this week, the Associated Press reports.
Haier Group is China's biggest appliance maker in China, which has the largest population of internet users in the world.
The two companies will work together in improving their management, construction and investment strategies in order to develop the networking for homes.
Zhang Ruimin, chief executive of the Haier Group, said: "We believe it is necessary to take advantage of Cisco's business practices as a model for efficient international expansion, particularly in areas like customer service that rely heavily on networked information technology."
