A network adapter kit that can work with any RJ45 port has received good reviews from a tech website, which said it can be used to extend coverage in the home.
The Belkin Powerline Turbo adaptor kit is "perfect for using to connect your computer and other network devices to your home broadband router", according to the IT Portal.
Content can be transmitted directly from a broadband router to a computer using the accessory, which can also allow networking devices to be linked through the electrical wires in the home, added the website.
"This is particularly useful for areas in your home that are hard to reach by wireless connection," explained the site, which also singled out the adaptor's simple plug-and-play connectivity.
"Simply plug one end of the adapter into an available wall outlet and plug the other end into any RJ45 port using the included cables," stated the tech review website.
RJ45 connectors are used with CAT5 cables and are among the most common connectors for Ethernet applications.
