The new version 3.3 update will be available to current and legacy Turbo network attached storage systems and will help business users make the most of the devices.

Among the improvements is the introduction of Multimedia Station 2, an application that allows for web-based management, playback and sharing of your music, videos and pictures.

Furthermore, support has also been provided for the QMobile app, which enables iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to remotely stream content.

The Web Server Virtual Hosting will also now allow up to 32 websites to be hosted from a QNAP Turbo NAS server with HTTPS and SSL certificate import.

The company currently offers a wide range of network attached storage products, including, those with configurations of up to eight bays for server racks or towers.

Writing for Cisco recently, Leslie T. O'Neill suggested that network attached storage devices can help small businesses organise and manage their storage needs.
