Netgear has announced that a line of its network storage devices have been given VMware Ready status.
The ReadyNAS family of products have all passed rigorous VMware testing, meaning they are ready to run in production environments with the company's solutions.
This also means that IT managers will be able to take advantage of the network attached storage (NAS) devices to help in their virtualisation efforts with the assurance of reliability and the highest standards.
Drew Meyer, director of storage product marketing for Netgear's Network Storage Business Unit, said: "Virtualisation drives network storage adoption, and Netgear is a world leader in affordable, reliable storage solutions for businesses.
"We are thrilled to be completely VMware Ready on our business-class ReadyNAS systems. As a result, our channel partners can deliver trusted virtualisation solutions."
Netgear recently introduced two new NAS devices, the ReadyNAS 3100 and the ReadyNAS 4200, into this product line, offering businesses the chance to reduce costs and increase flexibility.
