Netgear has welcomed the news that its ProSecure STM600 appliance has received a perfect score in a recent test.
The device was bestowed the accolade by SC Magazine with the result meaning that the publication recommended it above a number of other anti-malware gateways from competitors.
Five stars were given to all the categories in the hands-on test, including features, ease of use, performance, documentation, support and value for money.
Jason Leung, Netgear's senior product line manager for SMB Security, said: "This recognition of the STM600 by SC Magazine is very exciting for us, as it validates the extensive efforts of our development team to create an enterprise-class security appliance that's ideal for businesses of various sizes.
"The five-star rating in SC Magazine's evaluation categories signifies that Netgear security appliances can not only compete with well-established security vendors on the strength of security effectiveness - but can win."
Meanwhile, Netgear's Rangemax WNDR3700 was recently named by Maximum PC as the "best of the best" in the category of Wi-Fi routers.
