LMC uses environmentally friendly packaging

LMC uses environmentally friendly packagingA leading American networking equipment firm has launched a range of connectors housed in environmentally-friendly packaging.

The devices will be available through the company's Middle East subsidiary and are aimed at reducing packaging waste on-site during the installation of structured cabling.

Dubbed as a contractor and earth-friendly solution to large scale network infrastructure, the GreenPack houses 24 connectors in individual clear pockets which can be popped out one-at-a-time.

The packaging is 100 per cent recyclable.

Meanwhile, the components are available in Cat5e, Cat5e+ and Cat6 ratings and come in white, ivory, blue, orange and black.

In 2007, Leviton was named Builder magazine's top brand choice for structured cabling projects in its yearly Brand Use Study.

The company manufactures more than 25,000 cabling products, lighting control devices, and optical fibre systems.

It opened its first regional office in Dubai at the end of last year and expects to start manufacturing products there by 2012, according to building.co.uk.ADNFCR-1186-ID-18968438-ADNFCR
