Netgear has unveiled its new network solution for small-and-medium sized businesses (SMB).
The technology company is set to launch the first six-bay desktop network storage solution in the industry.
Netgear's ReadyNAS Pro Gigabit Desktop Storage device offers high performance, expandability and serviceability, according to the manufacturer.
The device provides up to 6TB of storage and is compatible with Windows, Macintosh and Linux platforms.
San Feng, Netgear's director of product marketing, said SMBs have "yearned for a high performance, high capacity network-attached storage solution".
"We're particularly excited to announce the availability of the industry's first six-bay networked-attached storage product, our ReadyNAS Pro, as it will enable growing businesses to store and protect critical data on their networks like never before," he added.
Rival technology firm Cisco has announced new disaster recovery and security solutions for its network products.
