LaCie has introduced a new range of flat USB, FireWire and SATA cabling that prevents tangling and allows for easy storage.
The multi-coloured cables, which have various USB interface connectors, are designed to lie flat on work spaces – reducing clutter.
All the cables are colour coded so it is easy for computer users and network administrators to tell them apart and each cable is provided with 24 adhesive labels, making identification even easier.
"These colorful cables will delight users’ sensibilities while making their work areas less chaotic," said Alexis Kobassian, accessories product manager for LaCie.
He added that the firm expects them to be popular among practical businesses and customers who want to reduce the disarray caused by cabling a home network.
The company states that the roll-up design makes them portable, so they can be carried around with USB devices.
Meanwhile, Flexicord has released a range of coiled, flexible USB 2.0 connectors that can be stretched up to six-feet in length.
