Extreme Networks has been recognised for its Summit X650 ten gigabit switch at the Network Computing Awards in London.
The company's Top of Rack switch was voted Data Centre Product of the Year and its Z450 family of switches received the Infrastructure Product of the Year award at the ceremony.
Voted on by thousands of readers, the 2009 Network Computing Awards comprised of 24 categories and reflect the wide range of technologies used in modern networking.
"Receiving two Product of the Year awards for our solutions that deliver excellent performance, functionality and value to data centers and campus networks is truly an honor," said Harpreet Chadha, senior director of product management for Extreme Networks.
Both the commended Summit products are mountable in server cabinets and racks and provide users with convergence and resiliency features.
Extreme Networks, which operates in more than 50 countries, also provides converged network solutions, with technology covering high-quality data, voice and video transmission.
