A new range of data centre networking equipment will be showcased at the 2009 Data Centre World Conference and Expo by Tyco Electronics subsidiary Amp Netconnect.
The firm will be displaying a selction of high-density fibre optic cabling solutions alongside a range of traditional copper-based products.
All the new devices will be targeted at operators of data centres and storage area networks.
The extensive list of products includes the Amp Netconnect Hi-D cable management system, the XG 10Gbit Base-T shielded copper solution and the MRJ21 pre-terminated copper cabling system which terminates a single high-performance cable to one connector and can replace up to 12 RJ45connectors.
It is available in RJ21, or RJ45 modular plug configurations.
The company states: "The result is much improved density of network equipment and more efficient use of floor space."
Earlier this month, networking-news provider Search Storage claimed that using 10Gbit Ethernet over standard cabling is more cost-effective than opting for specialist fibre optic solutions.
