Cooper Control launches new RJ45 light processor - Network Accessories A new light processing buffer which uses standard RJ45connectors has been launched by Cooper Controls.

The firm's LightProcessor is an RJ45 compatible version of its DMX Buffer data distribution unit.

Unveiled at PLASA09, the new device is an RJ45/DMX serial data distributor that supports both three and five pin RJ45 or XLR patch cords.

It offers users 1KV of isolation between input and output and each outgoing connector has a status indicator.

The device can be mounted in a standard 19-inch server rack or server cabinet and is aimed at the sound and lighting industry.

Meanwhile, Advantech has introduced a new range of Ethernet switches which support the RJ45 connector standard.

The company's Industrial Automation Group introduced the devices, the EKI-7629CI and EKI-7656CI, last week.

They are suitable for use in harsh industrial environments and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 to 167 degrees F (-40 to 75 degrees C).ADNFCR-1186-ID-19363316-ADNFCR
