ConneXium introduces low-cost Ethernet range

ConneXium introduces low-cost Ethernet rangeTechnology firm Schneider Electric has launched new products in its ConneXium Industrial Ethernet Infrastructure family.

Included in the new range are industrial switches, hubs, transceivers and cables which allow connections to Ethernet gateways, reports Pace Today.

The company claims the ConneXium Ethernet switches are "low-cost" and "unmanaged", allowing for single devices or complete network segments to be connected in industrial environments.

Each switch is up to IEEE 802.3 standards for copper and fibre optic technology.

Three different switches are included in the family, with the TCSESU033FNO and the TCSESE053FNO allowing for three and five RJ45 cable connections respectively.

Four RJ45 cable connections can be offered with the RCSEU043F1NO, but this switch offers additional multi-mode fibre optic ports for "electrical noise immune connectivity".

Extreme Networks recently introduced the new X650 10GBit network switch to its Summit range, which can allow for a total of 256 ports.
