A new range of waterproof circular cable connectors has been launched by In2Connect, designed specifically for industrial and waterborne applications.
The Pintail product comes in SP12 and SP21 varieties and provides the same form and function of MIL threaded connectors at a lower cost.
In2Connect said the connectors can be used reliably in numerous locations, including indoors, outdoors, in harsh UV light and in "fairly hostile" wet environments.
This means they are ideal in applications such as outdoor lighting displays, security cameras and industrial machinery.
They are made from glass-filled nylon and are fully IP68-rated when mated or fitted with a waterproof end cap, thanks to a combination of dual O ring sealing, high temperature PPS inserts, grommets and compression nuts.
In2Connect added: "They are RoHS-compliant, CE-approved, small, lightweight and extremely cost-effective when compared to their metal counterparts, without compromising the integrity of the interconnection."
The company provides a wide range of commercial, industrial and military connectors and has a worldwide customer base.
