Voltage SecureMail Archive Connector launchedThe new Voltage SecureMail Archive Connector for Symantec Enterprise Vault has been revealed by information encryption company Voltage Security.

Organisations will be able to gain low-cost and scalable encryption of sensitive information through the connector with Voltage Identity-Based Encryption.

It will also keep the company's eDiscovery retention, archiving and compliance-centric business processes for email.

One of the main features of the connector is that it makes sure Voltage-secured messages are decrypted before archive.

Wasim Ahmad, vice president of marketing, Voltage Security, said: "Some organisations are concerned that encryption will prevent or complicate other critical processes, such as email archiving and eDiscovery.

"The Voltage SecureMail Archive Connector proves the value of Voltage IBE to ensure that encryption and decryption fit seamlessly into an organisation."
