Embedded computing solutions leader VMetro has released its two new 6U VPX-REDI products.
The first, the MPE730, is a 6U Vita 46/48 Quad-Core PowerPC Multi-Processing Engine and integrates dual Freescale Power Architecture MPC8641D processors.
It also integrates Serial RapidIO fabric connectivity, while the SBC731 is a Single Borad Computer supporting single MPC8641D processor, as well as the Serial RapidIO fabric.
Both products make use of high-speed interconnect technology and use powerful processing.
Each has two XMC/PMC sites to make them more able to deal with a number of application needs.
Thomas Nygaard, chief technology officer for VMetro, said: "VMETRO has leveraged our expertise in COTS products utilizing PowerPC, high-speed serial interconnect, and ruggedized VXS and VPX technologies to add a Multi-Processing Engine and Single Board Computer.
"We have significantly enhanced our ability to solve our customers' diverse digital signalprocessing problems with the addition of these products to our existing line of FPGA-centric and I/O products."
