ITT Interconnect Solutions has launched a new connector designed to save space by bringing together various methods of data transmission.
The product is designed for use in the aerospace industry and combines signal, power, Ethernet and fibre optic transmissions into one interconnect.
The models - 30Q2, 13Q2 and 17Q2 - save weight as well as space and can be used alongside existing signal, power and quadrax inserts.
This will enable users to meet both present and future bandwidth requirements.
ITT's connectors can be used in a variety of aerospace applications, including instrument landing systems and flight navigation systems.
Keith Teichmann, global marketing director at the company, said: "To address the need for an increased data transmission rate required by the latest data communications and aircraft landing systems, ITT ICS engineers have designed this new series of robust, compact inserts."
ITT Interconnect Solutions supplies connectors, interconnects, cable assemblies and LAN components to companies around the world. Its portfolio includes the Cannon, VEAM, BIW and Sealectro brands.
