New EtherNet/IP module hits the market - Network Accessories HMS Industrial Networks has introduced a new EtherNet/IP module featuring an onboard two-port switch offering two 100Mbps full duplex Ethernet interfaces with RJ45 connectors.

An extension to the company's Anybus-CC family, the new product comes equipped with an integrated switch designed to reduce infrastructure cost and eliminate the need for external switches.

The Anybus-CC range of plug-in communication modules provide interchangeable connectivity solutions for all major fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet networks, including Profibus, DeviceNet and CC-Link.

With the new two-port version, professionals can manage to create EtherNet/IP real-time communication with bus or ring topologies, according to the product's manufacturer.

The module also enjoys the added support of Device Level Ring network protocol technology, which boosts device-level network toughness to enhance machine operation.

HMS Industrial Networks, a supplier of embedded network technology for automation, produces interchangeable plug-in modules, master/slave interfaces and single chip solutions.
