An innovative data connector is to be created by Landmark in conjunction with OpenSpirit, it has been announced.
Landmark is a product service line of Halliburton's drilling and evaluation division and will help develop the data connector for the GeoProbe 3D multi-volume interpretation and visualisation solution.
The OpenSpirit GeoProbe connector will bring about a wider range of data stores, including SDE, Petra and Finder and replaces Landmark's GeoFrame data server product.
Dan Piette, president and CEO of OpenSpirit, said: "GeoProbe stands out as one of the leading volume interpretation solutions in the industry.
"GeoProbe users will benefit from expanded interoperability among critical geoscience data stores that are already OpenSpirit-enabled."
He said the company hopes to add to its event services functionality to the data connector in the future.
