Harting has launched a new RJ45 connector for ten-gigabit ethernet cable applications in broadcasting studios.
The device offers tool-free termination and enables data to be transferred quickly over copper cables as opposed to fibre leads.
It is designed for use with Harting's Cat7a network cables and is fixed into place using a robust cable gland.
However, users are not restricted to the manufacturer's products alone, as any cables with jacket diameters ranging from 4.5 to nine millimetres will fit.
"Each connector has an available slot for colour coding keys to improve cable management," Harting pointed out.
The company manufactures a wide range of industrial, metric, multi-coaxial and interface connectors, as well as TCA and DIN 41612 products.
Before the new RJ45 Cat7a connector, the latest connector design to be added to its list was a high-current 200 A crimp module for heavy-duty industry.
Other products in its portfolio include ethernet components and cables, components for optical data transmission and tools for cable and printed board assembly.
