Filtered RJ45 connector from SASP - Connectors

Filtered RJ45 connector from SASP - Connectors Spectrum Advanced Specialty Products (SASP) has unveiled a new shield RJ45 cable connector.

The firm's modular jack is capable of protecting equipment from both conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference.

Each filtered, printed circuit board is interchangeable with standard, unfiltered RJ45connectors.

All the products comply with FCC Part 15 A & B and CISPR 22 standards and also adhere to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive.

The filtered jacks are constructed from flame retardant polyester thermoplastic and are available in inductor, capacitor and electrostatic discharge versions.

According to SASP, "The low profile and narrow width of their multiport style allows for more ports in less space".

The devices also have redundant shielding tabs which ensure that a low impedance ground path is maintained.

The products are recommended for LA, WAN, network cards, broadband transmission equipment and multiplexing applications.

Meanwhile, network equipment manufacturer Harting has launched a new range of hybrid RJ45 cables.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19186677-ADNFCR
