Clark introduces ruggedised cabling solution - Connectors

Clark introduces ruggedised cabling solution - Connectors Clark Wire & Cable has introduced a new range of RJ45connectors which have been designed for use in harsh environments.

The new plugs can withstand high temperatures, humidity and vibrations, as well as severe shocks and increased levels of electromagnetic interference.

Clark's new RJ45 connectors are compatible with existing Cat5e cable specifications and also use a seal which can guard against contamination without the use of an external dust cover.

The ruggedised devices also have a strain-relief back-shell which can protect against mechanical damage.

Earlier this year at the InfoComm 2009 conference, Neutrik launched a new rugged fibre optic cable connector.

The new device is designed for point-to-point applications in harsh, dusty or wet environments.

Commenting on the new technology, Pete Milbery, managing director of Neutrik, said: "With the introduction of our upgraded opticalCON Quad, we have fine-tuned our technology to offer the installation market the ultimate in fibre connectivity."ADNFCR-1186-ID-19240867-ADNFCR
