Cisco has announced a number of products and solutions aimed at helping small businesses to connect, secure and communicate.
Among them are new Cisco switches, the 100 Series, providing energy-efficient gigabit ethernet connectivity out of the box.
The RV 120W Wireless-N VPN Firewall also gives businesses secure connections while two new service ready platforms offer affordable ways of delivering data and voice services.
Rick Moran, vice president for small business solutions marketing at Cisco, said: "Cisco is focused on building reliable, affordable technologies that small businesses can easily use to connect their business to the world, help secure their business, and communicate more effectively.
"By categorising the Cisco Small Business portfolio into connect, secure and communicate, we're helping small businesses select the right technologies to meet their core business needs and even accelerate as the economy recovers."
Writing for Computerworld recently, Jim Duffy claimed that Cisco was trying to extend its influence within data centres with its recent releases.
