The Guardian has teamed up with Cisco Systems to offer small businesses the chance to win £5,000 of networking equipment.
Aimed at improving one lucky small businesses communications network, the prize will include a free consultation and expert advice from a Cisco networking professional.
The prize includes the Cisco SPA9000 telephone system, which offers the benefits of a high-end telephone system with the cost effectiveness of voice over internet protocol (VoIP), the paper states.
Cisco will also throw in a 48-port Ethernet switch, which can handle both voice and video data, and a virtual private network router.
"A Cisco engineer will also take time out to talk you through the technology" and discuss how the networking equipment can be tailored to the individual needs of a business employees, the paper notes.
Meanwhile, Cisco's president and chief executive John Chambers told reporters at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that the company is set to launch a new range of home networking products.
