Celeron-based networking equipment is 'environmentally friendly'A networking equipment manufacturer has claimed its Intel Celeron-based devices are environmentally friendly.

The two new devices, which can be used for a variety of network s applications including traffic management and security, use RoHS-compliant materials and combine low power consumption with custom-built cooling solutions.

The Lanner Electronics FW-7520 and FW-7560 are aimed at the low-end and mid-range markets.

Its FW-7560 sports either a 2.5 or 3.5-inch network storage bay with two serial ATA interfaces and a DDR2 2GB RAM slot.

Meanwhile, the FW-7520 includes five RJ45 network ports and two USB sockets for administration purposes.

The FW-7520 can also expand the number of RJ45 connectors it has to nine with Lanner Electronics' rack-mountable 1U module.

RoHS works alongside the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform and other British organisations to control the use of hazardous substances in manufactured products.ADNFCR-1186-ID-18965638-ADNFCR
