Home networking and connectivity firm Cables To Go has launched two new products that provide greater flexibility to users of USB devices.
The USB 2.0 SuperBoost Extender can be used to increase the range of USB signals to 65-feet, while the firm's Wireless USB Device Adapter Kit increases the range of a non-wired connection up to a maximum of 30-feet.
Gary Hess, Cables To Go director of product management said: "Whether it's through wired or wireless connectivity, Cables To Go continues to focus on providing quality connectivity solutions that are backed by the company's commitment to customer service."
The USB 2.0 SuperBooster Extender allows networking equipment to be connected via Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 cabling and is powered by a computer's internal bus, so no power supply is needed.
In related news, 10Gbit Ethernet over standard SAS cabling has been deemed more cost effective than its fibre optic counterpart by In Search Storage.
