Networking equipment manufacturer Belden has unveiled a new cooling solution that it claims could reduce data centre costs.
The company states that existing cooling systems could be inefficient in comparison and waste valuable resources.
Belden believes that without good quality cooling a data centre will waste energy on unnecessary cooling.
Carl Bruckner, General Manager of Belden's Cable Management Group, said: "[Its new] system is a key addition to Beldens enclosure products, allowing our partners to effectively manage the deployment of high density, high heat load equipment in both new and existing data centres."
The new system separates the hot and cold sides of an operation and the company claims it can simplify the infrastructure of a data centre by allowing cool air to be delivered from elsewhere into a computer room.
Meanwhile, Belden has published a new website that offers hints and tips on cable installations, as well as information on Ethernet and other network protocols.
