D-Link launches new network storage offeringD-Link International has revealed a new network storage enclosure aimed at the small to medium-enterprise (SME) market.

The company has added to its range with the DNS-343 four-bay network storage enclosure, which it claims is secure and easy-to-install, reports HardwareZone.com.

D-Link describes the offering as ideal for companies who have demands for multimedia and large data files.

Marketing director for the company Desmond Toh tells the website: "With its high storage capacity, powerful file serving capability and a growing suite of enterprise-class features, NAS [network attached storage] technology is emerging as a primary storage resource for SMEs."

He adds that the solution is low cost for SMEs as it allows them to access storage using Ethernet connections.

Included in the features of the new network storage offering is built-in RAID 1 and RAID 5 support and come equipped with an FTP server.

The source also states overheating is prevented as the device has an aluminium chassis and built-in fans.

Businessmen can also buy D-Link's Wireless Pocket Router, which allows them 802.11g wireless internet on the move.
