Siemon has unveiled a new Cat6 unshielded version of the Z-MAX family of end-to-end network cabling solutions, which adds to the company's already extensive Z-Max range.
The new cable solution, which is currently available in the US, is based on the company's 10Gbps Z-Max Cat6A platform, and Siemon claims that the new addition is both reliable and has a user-friendly termination process for easier installation.
Bob Carlson, Siemon's vice-president of global marketing, said that the new solution was created after overwhelmingly positive feedback on other products in the Z-Max range.
Mr Carlson said: "We listen to our customers and respond accordingly."
"The market for category 6 is still ripe and this is a logical extension of Siemon's breakthrough Max product line," he added.
The company has also introduced a range of Cat6 patch panels, which are available in both flat and angled configurations.
Taking up one unit of server rack space, the panels have 48-ports.
Recently, Reichle & De-Massari introduced a new Cat6A cable, which it claims offers greater reliability and higher quality loss-less data transmission.
