A British cabling firm has ensured the world was kept up to date with events taking place at the G20 Summit.
Canford Audio, which employs 100 people in Washington, Wearside, was drafted in to install the summit's audio, video structure cabling just four weeks before the international conference was launched.
The company worked closely with long-term partner and cable manufacturer Draka to provide the network equipment.
Canfords chief executive Charles Kennedy said: "Although we now have years of experience in supplying products for high-profile organisations and events, there is still a flutter of anxiety as the sound and pictures of the event unfold."
The firm was tasked with creating a specialist cable, which other industrial suppliers were not able to manufacture within the four-week time period available.
Held at the Excel Arena in London's Docklands, the G20 saw delegates from the 20 richest nations come together to discuss the global economic crisis.
