High-end audio equipment manufacture Niles Audio has won the Audioholics Consumer Electronics Award (ACEA) for its Cat5 baluns.
The company has announced its line of electrical converters, which support Cat5 as well as cat6 cables and are available in component-style and wall-mount models, won the accolade based on their ability to transfer high-definition data with unprecedented accuracy.
Compliant with standard Cat5 cables used to transmit high-definition signals, the baluns use the latest technology and already come pre-wired.
"To have our HDMI Cat5 Baluns honoured as a winner of the ACEA exemplifies Niles' commitment to providing custom installation professionals the best in application-specific products," said Frank Sterns, president of Niles Audio.
The ACEA recognises the most advance and forward-thinking products crucial to the functioning of modern consumer electronics.
According to the Consumer Electronics Association, net delivered video technology is still a fledgling industry.
