A new power over Ethernet adapter from Aipnet supports both wireless and wired transmission.
It is a high-power, low-profile device that can server both wired and wireless networks, and includes the facility of being able to be managed remotely.
The EAP700 802.11b/g Wall Jack Access Point with PoE, which was launched this week, has a simplistic and stylish design which allows for it to be integrated into the home or office without being noticeable.
"For organisations that are already wired for Ethernet access and looking to add a wireless connection, EAP700 comes with the interfaces for both wired and wireless access," 4ipnet states.
The device's front panel comes with LED status indicators as well as an RJ45 connector, providing flexibility of use.
In related news Deutsch has recently introduced a range of RJ45 connectors for use with Cat4, Cat5e and Cat6 cables, which are specifically designed for use in harsh environments such as outdoors.
