Molex has introduced a new cable for data centres that offers up to 120 Gbps of total bandwidth, it has been reported.
According to Electronicstalk, the Ipass+ CXP enables 12 channels of ten Gbps data to pass through copper cabling and can accommodate single, ganged or stacked connector configurations, even in dense environments.
The connector and cage assembly allows for single or stacked dual-port configurations with one-step placement and the cables are available in a variety of lengths.
Molex recently unveiled a new range of products including the EdgeLine CoEdge, a 25Gbps edgecard-to-edgecard connector aimed at low-to-mid range networking applications.
Meanwhile, the company's Backplane Connector System gives low cross talk and high signal bandwidth while minimising channel-performance variation.
Based in Illinois, USA, Molex manufactures electronic, electrical and fibre optic interconnection systems for a range of industries, including the telecommunications, automotive and medical markets, and has over 70 years of experience in the sector.
