New data cabling range from 3M - Network Cables Network equipment firm 3M has launched a complete new data cabling range aimed at businesses and data centre operators.

The company's new products supplement its existing offerings and incorporate Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A copper cabling in both single and multimode fibre varieties.

3M has also introduced a selection of high-density fibre patch panels and an LC version of its No Polish Connector – which was originally launched last year.

Rosemary McGlashon, European Technical Manager, 3M: "For many years, our products have been widely used within certain sectors of the UK, particularly military and petrochemical industries."

Meanwhile, according to new research from IGI, the active fibre optic cables sector is set to be worth $1.7 billion (£960 million) by the year 2011.

According to the firm HDMI fire optic lead sales will increase by 1,200 per cent in the next three years.

The company is also expecting material costs for the manufacture of these cabling solutions to decline over the same period.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19238588-ADNFCR
