Network equipment firm Mellanox has unveiled a range of high bandwidth server products which will take advantage of increasing processor power.
According to the firm its InfiniBand adapters and switches are an ideal compliment to Intel's new Xeon 5500 processor.
"Overall platform efficiency and CPU and memory utilisation rely heavily on interconnect bandwidth and latency, and Mellanox's broad line of highly-efficient 40Gb/s InfiniBand products ensure that CPU cycles are not wasted," the firm's research manager Jie Wu claimed.
He added that 40Gb/s and one microsecond latency made the products suitable for mission critical applications and provide both efficiency and reliability.
Mellanox recently announced that it will publish financial results for the first quarter of 2009 on April 20th.
The company will be using conference call technology and a live webcast on the investor relations section of its website to disseminate the information.
People will be able to access the site 15 minutes prior to broadcast.
