Network equipment manufacturer MegaPhase, which specialises in highly flexible cabling solutions, has unveiled new easy-installation coaxial leads aimed at military use.
The firm received feedback from a number of its clients regarding its existing structure cabling solutions and has strived to improve its products.
MegaPhase's latest cabling, which has been created with major defence aircraft manufacturers in mind, aims to reduce installation and retrofitting time for engineers.
Commenting on the feedback offered by one of the company's clients, William Pote, president of MegaPhase, said: "We spent a few hours talking to the engineers at the plant."
He added that the company brainstormed several alternative solutions and was able to come up with an efficient and reliable alternative to the existing solution – which addressed the issues raised.
The solution, which works with the company's existing transmission and connector products, does not fatigue when flexed like traditional braid or foil outer cabling.
MegaPhase is a leading manufacturer of high-frequency interconnect technologies, which are used for a variety of networking situations.
