Network equipment manufacturer Key Digital has introduced a new HDMI Cat5, Cat6 and Cat 7 cable extender.
The product, which is in the company's Fat Cat range, is a dual extender which supports cabling used for the transmission of HDMI and DVI signals.
Key Digital's KD-CatHD incorporates the company's HDMI/DVI Path technology, which prevents miscommunication in 1080p signals up to a distance of 150 feet.
Meanwhile, signals with a high-definition resolution of 720p can be transmitted error free over two Cat5 cables up to a distance of 280 feet.
Vice president of sales at Key Digital Michael Lakhter said the new system allows users to run video signals throughout their entire home or business while keeping costs low and maintaining the highest possible quality in terms of data transmission.
Meanwhile, Belden recently boosted its Cat6 cable offering with a new high-bandwidth lead which guarantees good performance for data intensive applications.
