Network equipment specialist Harting has unveiled a new range of cabling solutions aimed at lighting and sound engineers.
The companies Harting Han range of heavy duty cabling connectors is suitable for use on theatre stages and at concerts.
According to the firm, a special lighting control unit, the Han 16 E, is a recognised standard for controlling lighting in systems in the industry and is suitable for multi-cable solutions.
Harting claims the new device, which it unveiled at the Plasa 09 conference, can dramatically reduce installation times.
The company also showcased a range of industrial Ethernet switches, which support standard copper RJ45 cabling as well as single and multi-mode fibre optic leads.
Meanwhile, rival firm Corning has announced it is holding a seminar in London during the last quarter of this year to give IT professionals hands-on experience with its new network equipment.
