Network equipment manufacturer Siemon has introduced a new range of plug and play fibre optic cables.
The company claims that its tailored turnkey solution can be deployed 75 per cent faster than traditional technology.
Moreover, the it states that the new networking equipment provides a greener approach to high-speed data transmission as there is no need for additional connectors or termination kits eliminating excess waste.
"Combining cutting edge performance with high speed deployment, our plug and play fibre optic cabling system is designed from the ground up to satisfy the needs of high-performance data centres," Rajesh Kumar, a manager at Siemon, said.
The plug and play modules feature 12 multi-path connections within a standards snap-in RIC and FCPT fibre enclosures and the company's pass-through adapter plates come pre-terminated.
Last week Draka Communications launched a new range of cables aimed at boosting the uptake of next generation data transmission technology.
