Optical Cable Corporation has announced it has entered into a five-year contract to supply Tactical Fibre Optic Assemblies (TFOCA) to the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM).
The Command deploys ground tactical fibre optic cable assemblies around the world which goes towards supporting the tactical communication requirements of the military.
The contract is a further addition to Optical Cable's already-existing five-year contract with CECOM which was awarded just over a year ago.
Barney Dean, director of military and government sales at Optical Cable Corporation, said: "Optical Cable is very pleased to have been selected by the U.S. Army, once again, as its preferred supplier of TFOCA assemblies for ground tactical operations worldwide.
"Our military-grade fibre optic cables are well known for their outstanding performance by U.S. and allied militaries, and our state of the art production systems ensure that this high quality is consistently maintained."
