AMG Systems has won a contract to provide the city of Bahrain with networking equipment and security solutions.
The 140,000 square metre city centre has more than 300 shops and two multi-level department stores.
The CCTV transmission solution contract will be implemented by G4S Security Services.
G4S's divisional manager Sumit Arora said: "The control room is located on site, and one of the objectives was to facilitate that the operators can view real time uncompressed images from the camera network."
He added that the system will transfer data over a single fibre optic cable without reducing image quality.
AMG Systems was formed in 1990 and provides companies with high quality solutions for the transmission of data, audio and video.
The firm claims to be the world's leading provider of CCTV surveillance and transportation applications, which have been used in both military and civilian situations, including for battlefield equipment used by the Canadian Army.
