A leading manufacturer of camera control systems has provided a US audio equipment firm with a complete new high-definition video solution.
Spectrum Sound has installed the system provided by Vaddio in the Gladeville Baptist Church to allow magnification of certain parts of the church's services including baptisms.
The installation uses the latest Quick Connect CCU cabling system, which allows the use of Cat5 cabling for both standard and high-definition video.
Quick Connect also allows users to control video equipment from a distance of 500 feet.
Jeff McGee, video systems engineer for Spectrum Sound, said: "The CAT 5 cabling is nice and the CCU capability was the added benefit that rounded out the whole product package."
"Ultimately we ended up with a much quicker, neater installation with less labour costs," he added.
Cat5 cable has been superseded by Cat5e cabling, which was formally defined as a cabling standard in 2001.
